CCQ is an m-Learning (Mobile Learning) Education
Solution providing a Verifiable Teacher / Student Support System
|
|
CCQ software is available on
all Microsoft computer operating platforms whether it is a desktop
computer, laptop, PDA or other handheld devices. This points to another
significant market advantage for CCQ: the emerging use of handheld
devices as an education tool. The best results with technology in
education appear to be situations where there is a one-to-one
relationship between the student and the computer. PDA's and other
handheld devices offer portability and significantly lower costs making
them ideal for students, many of whom are already familiar and
comfortable with portable gaming devices. CCQ allows teachers to select
from a large library of questions and customize their content on a PC
and then export those study materials to other PC's and PDA's for use by
students. With CCQ, the spoken content is not limited to the desktop,
PDA's running CCQ will speak in two languages just like the PC version.
No network is required but the system can operate easily within
traditional hardwired and wireless networks. |

Learning on the Move: Cool Conversations Traveling Tutor
In
alliance with Interactive Speech Solutions LLC, Microsoft announced the release
of Cool Conversations (CCQ) Traveling Tutor, a complete study, testing,
assessment, content development and reporting application that gives any
Microsoft Windows®-based computer, including desktop PCs, laptops and
other handheld devices, the ability to interact verbally with users. Through the
use of Microsoft Windows Mobile®, CCQ Traveling Tutor merges the
natural speech synthesis capabilities offered by today’s computers with the
latest advances in mobile technology, resulting in a mobile, talking computer
that can speak to the child in English, Spanish or 20 other languages.
CCQ Traveling Tutor requires no connection to the Internet to function, bridging
the gap of opportunity often faced by students who lack access to Internet-based
programs outside school. Once content is loaded on the mobile device, students
can work in school, on the bus, at home, anywhere and anytime. The CCQ system
stores a report of all the student’s activity, which can be transferred to the
teacher’s computer when the student returns to the classroom.
